Bizlr Technologies is committed to protecting the privacy and security of your personal and business information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect data when you use our platform and services.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information necessary to onboard your company, manage payroll, facilitate tax compliance, and provide advisory services.

a) Company Information

  • CAC Certificate
  • Company MEMART
  • Status Report
  • TIN Certificate
  • Company Logo

b) Founder Information

  • Name, Identification (NIN), BVN* (used only for virtual account creation, not stored), Government-issued ID
  • Contact details (email, phone)

c) Employee Information

  • Name, Date of Birth, Gender
  • Email (for payslip delivery), Phone number
  • State of employment (for PIT remittance)
  • State TIN number (or assist in registration if unavailable)
  • Pension compliance details (Yes/No; code, % remittance, pension company)
  • Insurance compliance details (Yes/No; health code, provider, remittance amount)
  • Bank account details (bank name, account number, account name)

d) Automatically Collected Data

  • Transaction data (inflows & outflows via virtual accounts)

  • Payroll history and compliance records

  • Platform usage logs (for security and auditing)

2. How We Use Information

We use collected data to:

  1. Facilitate onboarding and verification of businesses and founders.
  2. Create and manage virtual accounts through licensed financial partners.
  3. Automate payroll processing and employee PIT deductions.
  4. Support pension and insurance compliance.
  5. Generate reports for tax compliance and provide advisory on CIT.
  6. Communicate with users (notifications, payslips, tax alerts, compliance updates).
  7. Improve our platform and services.

3. Sensitive Identifiers (BVN/NIN Policy)

  • BVN and NIN are collected only for identity verification and virtual account creation.
  • We do not store BVN or NIN on our servers. Data is securely transmitted to licensed financial partners.
  • All transfers are encrypted in transit using TLS 1.2/1.3.

4. Legal Basis for Processing

We process data on the following bases:

  • Consent → when you provide your information.
  • Legal obligation → tax reporting, payroll compliance.
  • Contractual necessity → to provide our services.
  • Legitimate interest → improving and securing our platform.

5. Data Storage & Security

  • All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2/1.3) and encrypted at rest (AES-256).
  • Access to personal data is restricted by role-based access control (RBAC).
  • Audit logs track data access and system activities.
  • Encryption keys are managed securely (separate from data storage).
  • We do not store unnecessary sensitive identifiers.

6. Data Sharing

We only share data with trusted and regulated third parties, including:

  • Licensed banks and payment service providers (for virtual accounts and payments).
  • State IRS authorities (for PIT remittance).
  • Pension and insurance companies (if applicable).
  • Professional tax consultants (for CIT advisory, with your consent).

We do not sell personal data to third parties.

7. Data Retention

  • Business and employee records are retained only as long as required by law or as necessary for service provision.
  • Payroll and PIT compliance records are retained for at least 6 years (in line with tax laws).
  • Data no longer required will be securely deleted.

8. Your Rights (Under NDPR & Applicable Laws)

As a user, you have the right to:

  • Request access to your data.
  • Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion of data (where legally permissible).
  • Withdraw consent for data processing.
  • Lodge complaints with the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA).

9. Children’s Data

Our services are intended for registered businesses. We do not knowingly collect data from individuals under 18 years.

10. International Data Transfers

If data must be transferred outside Nigeria, we ensure appropriate safeguards in compliance with NDPR and applicable data protection laws.
